Care Guide

How to wash, dry, and look after your custom pieces.
Everyday care
A few simple habits protect both the garment and the decoration on it.
- Turn the garment inside out before washing
- Wash in cold water on a gentle cycle, with similar colours
- Use a mild detergent
- Avoid bleach and fabric softener, which coats the fibres and dulls printed and decorated areas over time
Drying and ironing
Heat is the main thing that shortens the life of a decorated garment.
- Tumble dry on low, or hang to dry. High heat can crack prints and shrink the garment.
- If you iron, turn the garment inside out and use a low to medium setting.
- Never iron directly over a print, vinyl, or embroidered area. If you need to press that section, place a thin cloth or pressing sheet between the iron and the design.
Before the first wash. Give a new piece a day before its first wash so everything fully sets, then follow the steps above. The first few washes matter most for long-term durability.
Care by decoration method
Embroidery
The most durable decoration we offer. Wash inside out in cold water and avoid ironing directly over the stitching. If a thread ever works loose, trim it with scissors. Never pull it, as pulling can distort the design.
DTF and printed designs
Turn inside out, wash cold, and dry low or hang. Do not iron directly on the print, and avoid harsh scrubbing or stain treatments on the printed area.
Vinyl
Turn inside out and wash cold on a gentle cycle. Hang drying is best. Never iron on the vinyl itself, and avoid the high heat of a hot dryer over time.
Rhinestone and specialty
The most delicate finish. Turn inside out and wash cold on gentle, or hand wash. Lay flat to dry rather than using the dryer, and never iron over the stones. Handle these pieces a little more gently than everyday tees.
Engraved metal goods
For engraved bottles, mugs, keychains, and similar items, hand wash with mild soap and a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive pads and, unless the item is marked dishwasher safe, keep it out of the dishwasher. Dry by hand to prevent water spots. The engraving itself is permanent and will not fade.
How long it lasts
Cared for as above, embroidery, DTF prints, and vinyl hold up to years of regular wear and washing. Rhinestone and specialty applications are more delicate and last longest with gentle handling. Engraving on metal goods is permanent.
