How we use cookies on upperack.ca, and the choices you have.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They let the site recognize your device on return visits and store small pieces of information, such as preferences or session details. Similar technologies (web beacons, local storage) work in comparable ways. In this policy, “cookies” refers to all such technologies.
Cookies we use
Essential cookies are required for the site to function correctly. They manage things like form submissions, security tokens, and your browsing session. These cannot be disabled without breaking parts of the site.
Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors use our site, which pages are popular, and where to improve. We use Google Analytics. Data is aggregated and not used to identify you individually.
Functional cookies are set by services that power parts of our site (Formidable Forms, payment processing) to remember choices and ensure smooth operation.
We do not currently use marketing or advertising cookies. If that changes, this page will be updated and you will be asked for consent where required by law.
Third-party services that may set cookies
- Google Analytics — anonymous analytics about site usage
- Stripe — sets functional cookies during checkout for security and fraud prevention
- WordPress and Formidable Forms — functional cookies for the underlying site and form handling
- Google Fonts — delivers the typefaces used on the site. Does not set tracking cookies but receives your IP address as part of the font request
Each third party has its own privacy policy governing how it uses any data collected.
Your choices
You can control cookies in several ways:
- Browser settings — most browsers let you refuse all cookies, refuse third-party cookies, or delete existing cookies. Disabling essential cookies may break parts of our site, including forms and checkout
- Google Analytics opt-out — install Google’s official opt-out browser add-on to prevent Google Analytics from collecting data about your visits across the web
- Do Not Track — we respect Do Not Track browser signals where reasonably possible
Updates to this policy
We may update this Cookie Preferences page as our use of cookies changes. The “Last updated” date will reflect the most recent change.
